The East Penn School District launched a new district logo on June 9, 2019 at the 2019 EHS Graduation Ceremony at the PPL Center.
East Penn has earned a solid reputation as an excellent school district that offers each and every student an opportunity for success. We feel that it is important that our visual identity is as unique as the education we provide.
Over the years, there have been many iterations of the East Penn School District logo. Last year, the district decided that it was time to give the EPSD logos a much-needed refresh. In early March, a communication team comprised of district personnel began the rebranding process with Lehigh Valley advertising design firm, Weidenhammer, to create a unique and cohesive new look for the district. The goal of the team was to develop a brand that would resonate with all of our community stakeholders and represent teaching and learning in East Penn.
The East Penn community can expect to see the new logo on the district/school websites, social media and all communication materials. Here are the central components to the brand’s fresh new look:

After a lengthy process from conception to completion, our new logo is a cleaner, more sophisticated look that represents education in the East Penn School District. The logo icon for EPSD uses the “E” and the “P” of East Penn and represents unity, inclusivity, and resilience, while still being unique and versatile in many formats. Using that icon, the Weidenhammer team paired it with a bold font that is easily legible both in small and large formats and complimented by a lighter font to tie it all together.

The icon itself is a bold one-color option and a sophisticated 2-color option that is nostalgic of the traditional EPSD colors. It was important for both teams to create a stand-alone icon that uniquely identifies East Penn School District as a brand. The new logo also has the ability be used with other schools and departments throughout the district seamlessly.
