On May 23, 2020, students from Emmaus High School spent their Memorial Day Weekend competing virtually at the ACSL All-Star competition. Over 1200 individual students from various schools world-wide qualified for the All-Star contest because of their cumulative score from four contests given throughout the school year. Students were given three hours to complete two challenging programming problems and one hour to take a twenty question test. Scores were out of 40 points and top students in each division earned prizes.
Naqiyah Peatiwala competed in the intermediate division, while Ishaan Lal, Arti Schmidt, Geoffrey Kleinberg, and Jason Reidy competed in the senior division. Congratulations to Arti and Geoffrey, who earned a bronze level award in the competition. Our Senior division ranked in the top ten for the cumulative team score. Way to go Hornets!
The following students qualified but were unable to complete: Matt Magee, Adam Goldstein, Jon Whitby, Ryan Himes, and Dane Enck in the intermediate division and Cameron Fanning in the senior division.
