Mrs. Shingler’s 8th grade, Zone Team, ELA classes participated in a writing contest sponsored by Young Writers USA called Mission Contamination. They wrote 100-word mini-sagas about something that contaminated the world and is threatening humanity. Sixty six students’ sagas were chosen out of the 120+ entered. They received certificates and will be published in a book by Young Writers USA. A copy of the book will be given to the LMMS library, so their writing will live on forever at LMMS! They will also be treated to a Zone Team pizza party! Congratulations to these fine young writers!
